Bike4Mind, on your machine.

The agent that finishes the work, now with hands. It works in your repos, runs your commands and drives a real browser. Same account, same credits.

Or install from the terminal (recommended on macOS):

curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -fsSL https://github.com/Bike4Mind/desktop-releases/releases/latest/download/install.sh | sh

Beta. Intel Mac builds are paused. Windows is coming later.

Why a desktop app?

Web app

  • Lives in a browser tab
  • Can't touch your files or run your build
  • Best for chat, knowledge, notebooks and team sharing

Desktop app

  • Runs in the folders you grant it
  • Reads and edits files
  • Runs commands and dev servers
  • Drives its own browser
  • Same account and credits

What it does on your machine

  • Code sessions

Pick a project folder and the agent searches, reads, edits and tests there, with edits shown as diffs and long-running processes streaming live output. Tick worktree to give a session its own copy of the branch, so parallel tasks don't collide.

  • A browser the agent can drive

Every conversation gets its own built-in browser, with tabs. The agent can navigate, click, type and take screenshots. Use it for end-to-end tests of your local app or to automate websites.

  • Agents that start agents

A session can start a child session, in its own git worktree if you choose, and keep messaging it. You approve every spawn.

  • Local models when you want them

A Models screen lets you browse, download and remove local Ollama models, and they sit in the same picker as your cloud models. Ask the agent for images, speech, music or video on the same credits as the web app; you approve each one.

Code sessions also keep a todo list, ask multiple-choice questions when they need a decision, take skills from a / picker, and extend with MCP servers.

You stay in charge

The agent works on your machine, so the approvals are yours.

  • Routine work runs on its own. Reading secrets, sending data out or touching files outside your project stops for your approval.
  • Switch to Ask mode to approve every command and file change, memory included.
  • Cookie import comes from Chrome on your Mac. Only the sites you pick are decrypted.
  • An agent can only start another session with your approval, in every mode.

Install notes

macOS (Apple Silicon)

macOS beta builds are not notarized yet. The install command clears the macOS quarantine flag, so the app opens without a Gatekeeper prompt.

If you download the .dmg in a browser instead, open System Settings > Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.

To update, rerun the install command.

Linux (x64)

The install command above works on Linux x64.

If you download the .AppImage from the releases page instead, make it executable with chmod +x, then run it.

AppImages need FUSE 2. On Ubuntu or Debian, install it with sudo apt install libfuse2t64 (libfuse2 on older releases).
